Church of St. Jan Krtitel

The Church of St. Jan Krtitel was originally a Romanesque with gothic elements, built in the 17th century by the students of the Piarist order. In the 18th century they began to build a new church. The project drew on the floor plan of the Viennese church salesianek in Renngass, the façade on Viennese and Parisian works, and above the entry is situated a stature of the baptism of Christ adored by angels. Thanks to its use of sentimental and rococo elements, the interior was considered among the most beautiful churches of the 18th century in Moravia.
