Ice Hockey

The Czech ice hockey team has a tradition of success in international competition. Their victory at the 1998 Nagano Olympics was an unforgettable moment. In Salt Lake City four years later, the Czech team was knocked out in the quarter finals, but they hope to have more luck in Turin. The trainer Alois Hadamczik has built the Olympic team around the trio of stars, Jagr, Hasek and Vokoun. Interestingly, all the Czech team, with the exception of goalie Milan Hnilicka play in the North American NHL.
