You know a wise man once said that 'the taste of the beer is in the
drinking' and I hold with him a hundred percent. As a connoisseur of every
thing
drinkable, I have come to the conclusion that milk is for kids, tea is for
those who seek refuge in herbs, wine is for the soft hearted and beer is
for
the strong. Talking of beer, I must add that not all beer is good beer.
This
might sound pretty hard line but experience has taught me that it is
either
Czech beer for me, or nothing else. Czech beer epitomizes everything
desirable in a quality drink. Whether you are looking for something to
quench your thirst, to lift your spirits, drown your sorrows or just great
beer, I will recommend that you sample a bottle of my favourite Gambrinus
or
Budvar or Staropramen or Radegast or... I could go on forever. In fact, in
a
nutshell, if you asked me to make a last wish before I died, I would ask
to
be served the Nigerian national meal (pounded yam, okra soup and cooked
sardines) and a cool bottle of clear refreshing 10 degree Plzensky
Prazdoj, after which I would gladly rest in peace. That is how much Czech
beer means to me.
