Christmas Dinner

The Christmas dinner is a ceremony which follows certain established rules. The dinner starts when the first star appears, marking the end of the day's fasting. There should be an even number of people around the table to bring luck to everyone present. However, the table is laid for one extra person, in case a guest or someone lonely comes. Nothing should be left on the plates, because the last bit possesses the greatest strength. No-one is allowed to leave the table before the dinner is over. There is a fish scale or a coin under each plate for good luck.
