Prague students
On this planet there is only one golden capital, it is Golden Prague. Every time I talk , think or hear about Prague, word golden is on my mind. What else make this europien center of culture 2000 year unique?
I learned at school that Prague had a great success in IX century under prince Borivoye. In 1306 year Prague had its golden period. For 30 years, Karlo IV - luxumburg made Prague the most important europien city of the XIV century .It was the period when the first University started. He founded new part ofthe town Nove Mesto. Industrial revolution took place in Prague. The first Republic was announced in 1918 year .
I was told, Prague was unique because of its protected architecture from 6 centuries in spite of big natural destroying and hard wars.
Famous writer, Franc Kafka took the inspiration from Prague.
But when I think about Prague first, I remember people that studied and graduated at University in Prague. That people had special title prague student. In many biographies very famous and important people at area ofBalkan , word prague student had a special value. They are so much respected for their knowledge got in Prague.
Croatian writer , writer of realistic stories and feuilletons from modem li ve, romantic poems and history novels August enoa, studied in Prague in 19 century .
He wrote Goldsmith's gold, Peasans rebellion, Beware of Senj's hand, Beggar Luka Diogenes etc. I like his stories and poems because he wrote them with lot of sensations.
The most famous inventor and physicist from Balkan, Nikola Tesla was prague student. He had more the 700 inventions. Tesla was the man out oftime. Someone says that Tesla inventedjust about everything. Today we couldn't work on computers and use Intemet without Tesla inventions. His Tesla Coil supplies the high voltage for the picture tube we use. The electricity for our computer comes from a Tesla-designed AC generator, is sent through a Tesla transformer, and gets to our house through 3-phase Tesla power.
On the February ,1911 four students (bom in Split, Croatia) brought in their town the first football ball from Prague. Prague was a city with reach sport tradition. Then they founded the football team "Hajduk". There was a TV serial (in programme ofEx Yugoslavia, 15 years ago) called the " Velo misto" where this events were detailed described. I was a fan of that team. The team had a lot of success and is popular not only in Croatia.
The next example are our Bosnien film producers who graduated in Prague at famous Academy for producers. They are also recognized as prague student. They had a lot of success as producers and got so many international prizes. There was also a TV seria " Prague student" ( bosnian production) where was described the life of our student at Academy for producers in Prague. Many young peope in my city , after finishing gymnasium, have a dream to go to Prague and study for film producers. This lasts for years.
So, influence of Prague and its culture was very strong to the rest of Europe through the centuries. I think that Prague is biger then itself just because of THIS POSITIVE influence for well being of humanity .Spirit of Prague willlive for ever thanks to the work of prague students and people who respect them. This makes Prague unique and really different from the other cities.
